Code Compliance Inspectors work to enhance the quality of life for the residents of Millcreek City, by enforcing codes that promote a clean and wholesome community, thereby enhancing their quality of life.

Code Compliance Inspectors enforce city ordinances for the following:

  • Litter and debris that can be seen from a street or right-of-way
  • Inoperable and unregistered vehicles seen from the street or right-of-way
  • Recreational vehicles parked on the grass or dirt in the front yard
  • High grass and weeds over 6” tall
  • City sidewalks that are blocked by garbage, building materials, merchandise, vehicles, or vegetation lower than 8 feet above a sidewalk
  • Failure to remove hail, snow, or sleet more than 12 hours after the storm
  • Trash receptacles left out more than 24 hours after trash day
  • Conducting business without a city business license
  • Operating a short-term rental without a business license
  • Illegal or dilapidated signs
  • Vehicles parked on lawns and not approved hard surfaces, such as asphalt or concrete
  • Outside storage, such as refrigerators, washers and dryers, and household items
  • Any illegal dumping of chemicals or waste in storm drains
  • Lack of maintenance of live materials, such as lawn and shrubbery

Code Compliance Inspectors do not enforce ordinances for the following:

  • Abandoned vehicles parked in the street or right-of-way
  • Stolen property
  • Illegal activity
  • Neighbor on neighbor disputes
  • Vehicles parked on street during snow removal months
